Part of American Forces Network (AFN) The little icon means Air Force Television News- but it's all the same Beast. It can be your best friend when overseas, nothing like Dawson's Creek reruns 3 times a day to chase away the blues. It costs pretty much nothing to the American taxpayers due to no commercials- we have "informational messages" regarding American history and tradition. After 6 or 7 years of watching this, it actually helped me make rank in the Air Force faster than most.
It's technically called AFN, American Forces Network and when you're living in a foreign country, it can be your best friend. Nothing like Dawson's Creek reruns 3 times a day to chase away the blues :-) Actually, we don't get commercials so it costs virtually nothing to the taxpayers, instead we get "informational messages" regarding history and military tradition. After watching it for 6 or 7 years, it has helped me make rank faster than most!
The officers sound like such pricks.
