Though most times the only way pro wrestlers stay retired is when they're forced to due to injuries(and even then there's ways around it), we give this topic a go anyway as we discuss the Best & Worst Retirements with our guests Grizzly Redwood & Delirious. Hosted by Eric Santamaria.
Join us next time as we discuss the Montreal Screwjob & conduct our Submission Round 5 Q&A. Find more on wrestlingroundtable.com!

  • Hey i never said you forgot to mention The Japaneses retirements, i was just adding to the conversation.

  • @ThrashAD720 I know you were, if you took it that way it was a misunderstanding; I was mentioning that in the context of good examples of adding to the conversation. At least that's what I intended, heh, so if it came out wrong please excuse me. You're always great at filling in the gaps we miss.

  • To E- I never saw a Kurt Angle match before, what would you consider his best matches to watch ???

  • @Emit79 Really? Wow. Well, I recommend Vs. HBK at WM21, Vs. Samoa Joe at Lockdown 2008, Vs. Mysterio at SummerSlam 02, Vs. Brock at SummerSlam 03, Vs. Eddie Guerrero at WM20 + SummerSlam 04, Vs. him Vs. Big Show Vs. Brock from Vengeance 03, Vs. Sabu from "ECW" in 06, Vs. Randy Orton from One Night Stand 06, Vs. Jarrett from Lockdown 2011, Vs. Kane for the US title from Smackdown in Nov. 2001, Vs. The Rock from No Way Out 01, and Vs. Marty Jannetty from Smackdown in early 05.

  • Was I the only one thinking that at some point during this video, Delirious was going to go off on a nonsensical rant?

  • Can't believe no mention of Arn Anderson's retirement guys!

  • HBK's retirement was great, so heartfelt...Flair's was the best ever at the time, even though I knew it wouldn't last

Rude and Steamboat's retirements broke my heart as a kid in '94, as they were both two of my absolute favorites

Japan does retirements very well. I really like Akira Hokuto's retirement match in 2002

  • Why is that Delirious Guy looking Zoned Out...? lol

  • the best retirement is HBK. cos u want to see him again but ur satisfied with his career as a whole

  • Flair's Retirement got me (as a 20 year old) into wrestling after years of hating it as a kid in the late nineties.

  • Can't believe you did'nt mention (insert name here)

  • the only one to actually got me emotional was edge's.

    another bad retirement, sid.

  • @WrestlingRoundtable While I like your list of essential Kurt Angle matches, I have to point out the obvious omission of 2 classics against "He Who We Do Not Speak Of". Their WM 17 & the Royal Rumble 2003 matches are exceptional performances from both men.

  • @Emit79 Angle Vs. Undertaker from No Way Out 2006 is worth a look as i remember
