This is a hard to find example of a Black Forest Automaton. This clock was made by Gordian Hettich of Furtwangen C. 1890

The movement is a cast brass pinned movement... silk thread suspension.

Automation in the Monks arms, head and in bell in the tower.

    Today's clocks are just a meere shadow of what the old ones are.

    Someday I shall get myself an orginal blackforest clock..
