Shem Booth UV paint test no.1

old VHS conversion of a test video of uv paints combined with oil paints experimenting with uv light & sound together by Shem Booth in 2002. The painting titled "Element 115 "Ununpentium" is a abstract expressionist painting (Kandinsky Inspired) that forms a central ufo shaped geometric glyph archetype. Almost a blueprint with strata's of color & texture. Changing light and movement was the attempt to see how the pulsing colors effect perception of surface, The soundscape just comes alive.
