  • This is a very touching and appropriate video. The first generation of gamers are now in their 20's and this tribute sums up exactly how almost every one of them feels. while we continue to look forward there are some things we never let go and keep close..... so from every old school gamer who has always wanted to but was never able to tell the game industry, past and present, "Thanks for the memories"!

  • Chris Scullion is a legend!!!

  • true, but if you follow that model gamers started in the early 70's or earlier (andy Capps tavern) before the bust and then resurrection of the industry in the late 80's when video games became accepted in the culture as a common form of entertainment. That generation which grew up in said environment is what I'd consider the first generation of "gamers" (born between 75-89)

  • @jobell20

Actually not to be pedantic but the FIRST generation of gamers are now in their 40's, some even 50's since we're talking Atari. Personally im in my mid 30's, started on Atari around 6 (1984) but MAINLY played on NES (my childhood) and then SNES (my teen years). But defintiely anyone starting on nintendo is not the first generation of gamers.

  • Saw this video during Video Games Live and it was amazing! Took me back to what got me into video games in the first place. I am not ashamed to admit every time I see this video I tear up. I wish some of the game designers knew how much they did for an entire generation of people.

  • WOw and i thought i would be the only one to report actually tearing up watching this. I guess it's the soul of an entire generation of gamers this touched. Where has that time gone and why can't i get it back... Thanks for that. Everything in there that was released on a nintendo machine i believe ive played, for the sega stuff, i know the games but i've played maybe half.

  • I don't give a damn what anyone thinks!!! I teared up watching this. What happened to those childhood Friday nights with your friends and all night gaming sessions with the greatest games ever. These were the kinds of games that brought people together. RIP to gaming in the Clinton years generation of gaming, you are deeply missed......

  • Side Pocket missed, but this is the best video on youtube T---T

  • This was the era when games were games!

  • This video touched me very deeply. Full thumbs up.
