I found this video tape at my dad's church in an old un-used youth room. It was hidden in the back of a shelf...most likely un-played for 20 years.

It is pretty funny to watch...but long. It is great Christian propaganda about how "rock" music will destroy your soul. It is hard to believe they made a video.

  • Co-star Glen Williams (Marty) actually turned up on the Agony Booth forum a few years back and had a good laugh w/the regs about the experience, even agreeing that the writers were rather misguided.

  • @CityofButterfly - Yeah, really...seems to me like the writers just looked at the titles and interpreted them in the worst possible light to boost their argument.

  • @WhatsAYak Plus many of the songs the kid mentions at the end have nothing to do with Satanism. "Evil Ways"? Really? Did nobody take the time time to actually read the lyrics to these songs?

  • "Olive's Film Production's"? Someone forgot to tell the producer that an apostrophe denotes possession, not plurality...and if they're gonna attack rock, why not get stronger examples than Billy Joel or Bob Seger? Not to mention how Jeff starts out as a nice kid, but turns into a holier-than-thou jerk over the course of his research...this is exactly the kind of thing that turns people off of Christianity.

  • @MrBakura91 Thats how I see this movie.

  • This is an excellent film about how religion can ruin people. Try viewing it like that and the movies great.

  • @farnishk I'd imagine that whoever made this wasn't an Evangelical Christian. It's well known that most different Christian factions don't like each other at all, and have can have completely polar views on certain issues.

  • @farnishk I could see that.

  • "Christians should be different"

So don't sell Coke and fries then :-)
