Nothing Else Matters ~ Ch. 28

Okay so I'm kind of freaking out right now. Today before school, my friend came up to us and said that a girl had got her throat cut and we just said whatever. But then, we heard someone yell lockdown and we were in lockdown for like 40 minutes. It was pretty scary. One of my friends calmed herself down with pictures of JB which brought laughs but yeah. My brother said he was there when it happened and that he saw the girl bleeding. Pretty scary stuff. Then, school was cancelled so that's why I'm home right now. Okay well here it goes.

(Kevin's POV)
I decided to do something and I hoped I could do it without difficulty.

Kevin: How you doing?
Rebecca: Good. I think I got it.
Kevin: Wanna try something?
Rebecca: Like what?
Kevin: How about a lift?
Rebecca: What? No, no, no. I'm too heavy.
Kevin: (laughs) No, you're not. Come on.
Rebecca: What if you drop me?
Kevin: Look at me.
Rebecca: (turns around)
Kevin: I won't drop you. Believe me. I would never let harm come to you. Trust me.
Rebecca: (looks in his eyes) Alright. I trust you.
Kevin: Ready?

Rebecca nodded and I put my hands on her waist. I glided on the ice and then, I lifted her into the air. She was a bit heavier than I thought but I was fine. She stretched out her arms, as if she was flying and I was the magic keeping her up.

Suddenly, I felt like a knife had stabbed my side. This time, I couldn't keep in the pain and cried out. Rebecca looked down at me and I only had a second to notice her worried face. My arms lost all their strength and I dropped them, bringing Rebecca down with them. I managed to wrap my arms around her waist and catch her and we both fell on to the cold, hard ice with Rebecca on top of me.

The fall worsened the pain and I was breathing heavily. I turned away and moaned. "Kevin!" Rebecca shifted me so I was on my back.

Rebecca: Are you okay? Is it the bruise?
Kevin: I'm sorry.
Rebecca: What? Why?
Kevin: I dropped you. I said I wouldn't.
Rebecca: (caresses his face) That doesn't matter. Are you okay? Maybe we should go back.
Kevin: No, no. Let's stay. I'm fine. I swear. (screams in pain)
Rebecca: (tears up) Kevin, let's just go. I don't want to see you suffer.
Kevin: No. We're staying. I'll be fine. Can I ask you something?
Rebecca: Anything.
Kevin: Will you be my girlfriend?
Rebecca: (smiles) Of course.

She leaned over me and pressed her lips to mine. I closed my eyes and rested my hand on the back of her neck. I was about to take it further when I heard the doors open and voices talk. I pulled away and looked in that direction. Rebecca grabbed my hand and helped me up. My side was throbbing.

Rebecca: I thought you had rented the rink.
Kevin: I did. I'll go tell them to leave.

I skated to the edge and saw an elderly woman with a young girl, probably 5 or 6 years old. "I'm sorry but you're going to have to-" "Wait!" Rebecca yelled. She skated our way.

Rebecca: Doris?
Kevin: What? Who's Doris?
Doris: Hello, dear. How are you?
Rebecca: Great. And yourself?
Doris: Fine, thank you dear.
Kevin: Wait, I'm lost. You know each other?
Rebecca: Yeah. Kevin, this is Doris. I met her at the restaurant on Sunday.
Kevin: Oh. It's a pleasure to meet you.
Doris: You too, son.
Rebecca: And who's this little cutie?
Doris: This is my granddaughter, Jenna.
Rebecca: Well, hello Jenna. My name is Rebecca. How old are you?
Jenna: (shyly) Five.
Rebecca: Wow. So are you in kindergarten?
Jenna: (nods)
Rebecca: She's so adorable.
Doris: She is. She wanted to learn to skate so I brought her here but I dont know how to skate. Can you help her?
Kevin: Well, actually--
Rebecca: I'd love to.

She grabbed Jenna's hand and skated away, leaving me alone with Doris.

Did you guys know I write songs? No, I'm totally kidding. That's not the question. Haha. Um, let's see. Have any of you guys ever read Romeo & Juliet? Did you like it?

Personally, I think it's the dumbest play to ever exist. It's so freakin retarded. I just want to shoot some of the people in the play. Haha. But did you know that I wrote a song about them? Haha. Yup. Well, bye.

When i was in 5th grade everyone thought our school was haunted. One day We were doing math when all the lights in the school went out and no one new what happened then the fire alarm went off and we heard a little girl scream but no one was in the hall and i was like 11 so it was pretty scary

You seriously dont want to come to our school cause its haunted, i swear.

Cause we have woods around our school and ''She'' as we call her, used to live in the woods but ''She'' died, i dont know how, but we have to run through those woods for Cross country, and its freaking scary.

The caretaker that lives their, was locking up the school the once and he was on the stairs and he heard footsteps behind him, it shit him up. he told us. honestly. i love your story :)

i know we watch it im my class and the reason they all talked like that was because the director said that it was the language that made it romeo and juliet so if they changed it it wouldnt be the same but i thought it was stupid that they talked like that and kind of hard to follow
