@emscolt he let her go, If he'd wanted to he could've really snapped her neck. In Dark Lord The Rise of Darth Vader it explains Vaders pain and anguish and said from vaders thoughts quote "If not for events on Mustafar, he would sit on the Coruscant throne, his wife by his side, their child in her arms."

@prkendora Yeah but the same could be said about Obi-Wan, Jedis aren't suppose to have bonds but everyone makes bond whether they know it or not. Obi-Wan loved Anakin like a son, he loved him even after he defeated him the first time.
