This story presents the undocumented students' perspective of the Maryland Dream Act that was voted into law this past May 2011 and then was put to a referendum based on new signatures. The Maryland Dream Act allows undocumented students who attend a Maryland High School for three years to receive in-state tuition rates at community colleges and state universities. The law has been suspended until it can be put to referendum in November 2012. In the meantime, tens of thousands of students college careers hang in the balance--not sure if they will be able to afford the college of their dreams.
