Originality, it was Capcom who stole from Data East's first fighting game in the 1980s to create their own, along with stealing from Konami's fighting game. Capcom were hypocrites for trying to sue them anyway, serves them right for losing for thinking they own the genre. They were no better than anyone else who stole concepts of many things from celebrity knock offs to video game/anime companies. So yes, screw them.
-
Fuck Crapcom!! this game was a Street Fighter rip off as much as Fatal Fury or World Heroes, and those two were a lot more blatant than Fighters History, but they decided to sue a rather small company like Data East and forgave SNK, all 2d fighting games copied from SF if you think of it, again: Fuck Capcom and Street Fighter!!
DATA EAST FTW!!!
-
Data East should sue, Makoto from SFIII is clearly a rip off of Ryoko.

@XxAlurathanxX So do I. I like the clones and unknown fighting games created at the same time that the FAMOUS AND MAINSTREAM Street Fighter 2 came out. Why? Because I find them better than what Capcom created with Street Fighter 2.

@XtjprodigyX true ur right, shows what i know :P
-
@S2ita Yeah, it's like how Dan is a shot at Ryo who is a ripoff of Ryu.
-
@S2ita or it could be coincidence, seeing as the 'wheel kick' is a real kick.
-
This game ripped off Street Fighter, and then 15 years later Capcom ripped them off. Check out Ray's "Wheel Kick" at 1:13 - Abel has the exact same move, they even copied the name haha

Awesome music, fuck.
Today I randomly thought about a scratchy voice saying "RYOKO", then I realized I was thinking of the announcer from this game saying ryoko's name.
random nostalgia hit me outta nowhere

The punch and kick sounds, sound alot like the ones from SF2 Turbo on the SNES.

@mrnachocheese Haven't played that one.. I didn't own a SNES when I was younger. I have an emulator of it now but not with that game.
