Gonal f RFF Pen

Gonal-f (follitropin alpha) is a highly purified form of human follicle stimulating hormone (FSH). Gonal-f is manufactured using recombinant human DNA technology. The Gonal-f RFF Pen is a disposable, premixed prefilled pen-like medication delivery system. Gonal-f RFF Pen is supplied in 3 strengths, 300 IU, 450 IU and 900 IU. It is indicated for the induction of ovulation and pregnancy in anovulatory infertile patients in whom the cause of infertility is functional and not due to primary ovarian failure. It is also indicated for the development of multiple follicles in the ovulatory patient participating in an assisted reproductive technology (ART) program.

Gonal-f is administered as an injection subcutaneously. Gonal-f acts directly on the ovaries to help stimulate the development of follicles. Gonal-f is also used to stimulate the development of multiple eggs with assisted reproductive technologies.
