Timelapses across Hong Kong [HD]

Finally here.. my HD timelapse of Hong Kong, shot during June and July 2010. Apologies for the delay in getting this produced, Windows Live Movie Maker couldn't handle the massive filesizes and bitrates very well so the clips were almost impossible to cut in the right places. A few updates later made it much more efficient and manageable, hence the video being completed now rather than August.

Shot with a Canon EOS 500D, a tripod, and a timer remote shutter, along with some transport money, a lot of water, good food. Oh, and 98% humidity, 100F weather, and a lot of sweat.

Thanks to Billy Kwok and Samantha Keylock for joining the venture, Microsoft for getting their act together and updating Movie Maker, and Youtube for not removing the music from this video.. *glares*

Timelapses played back at 24FPS, each timelapse was shot with shooting intervals of about 1 or 2 seconds. Exposure was set manually for each clip.

This is an AWESOME video! I used to live in HK...and have visited a number of times since (Summer 2010 last time)....this video makes me EXTREMELY homesick...mission accomplished :)

Interesting comment... I agree, some clips are better off without music at all, but when editing this, I found it very flat and lifeless without some sound to give it a bit of flavor. This video is supposed to have some sort of emotional impact, and it seems to be working, judging by the 'homesick' comments I've received. In my opinion, short individual clips aren't worth putting music to, but a full length almost-4-minute video needs to have something else to make it more enticing.
