So Close Yet So Far (Chapter 33)

Hey, so yeah i know i said 10 comments and i know it's like 3 o'clock in the morning (at least where i live) but um i'm bored and still awake lol. so this chapter's kinda boring, or i think it is but whatever. also now that i have a new computer i can make more high tech videos lol when i have time, so if i don't have time i'll make onetruemedia ones and when i do i'll make these lol, hopefully it worked. anyway yeah. Also a disclaimer, I don't own anything in the video, all credit goes to the owners.

{Rebecca's P.O.V.}
I thought I was gonna throw up. I got nervous enough around Nick, but now I was probably gonna pass out. Nick was still holding his phone, and I knew he was texting Miley. How was I supposed to compete with her?
He walked over and hugged me, and my heart skipped a beat, but he was still distracted. "I'm gonna miss you Becca," he said before checking his phone again.
"I'm gonna miss you too. Try to call if you can."
"Absolutely." He was texting when he said it, so I doubted he even heard me.
I couldn't tell him now. He was too distracted. "All right, well, have a good tour."
"Thanks."
"All right, bye," I said, and ten tried to hurry away, but Riley stopped me.
"Come on," she said simply, pushing me back towards Nick.
Joe had stopped him and taken his phone from him. "Talk to your best friend," he said.
"Nick, Rebecca has something to talk to you about," Riley said.
"Okay."
"Joe, let's go get my bag."
"Good idea," Joe said so he and Riley walked away.
"So what's up?" Nick asked me smiling. Oh God that smile.
"I um see." Jeez this was pathetic. "Who were you texting?"
"Miley."
Part of me was hoping he was texting someone else, but I knew I couldn't hope for that. "Oh," I said quietly.
"Can I tell you a secret?"
"I guess."
"I really think she likes me too."
It felt like my heart had been stamped on. "Really?"
"Yeah, so now I just have to see how things go when I see her."
"Well, good luck then."
"Thanks. So what did you need to talk about?"
"I just, I wanted to make sure you'd call this time."
"I promise."
"And this isn't one of those times when people change and promises are broken is it?"
"No, plus if I break the promise, your sister will be there to kick my butt for it."
I managed to laugh. "That's true."
"Don't worry, Becca, I'm not planning on losing my best friend," he said, hugging me. And that's all I was, his best friend. Just friends.

{Riley's P.O.V.}
As we walked into the house, Joe said, "Your sister likes Nick, right?"
"What? I mean, why would you think that?"
"Rye, it's me. You can tell me the truth."
"You have to promise not to tell anyone."
"Come on, you know me."
"Exactly."
"Hey!"
I just stared at him.
"Okay, okay, I promise."
"So she does, but he apparently told her he likes Miley."
"I was kinda hoping you wouldn't say that."
"What? Why?"
"We have a problem."
"What'd you mean?"
He handed me Nick's phone. I looked through the texts. "Oh man," I mumbled.
"Yeah."
"Come on, Rebecca's about to get her heart broken."
"What?"
"She's telling Nick."
"Well, maybe Nick won't say anything stupid. I think he likes her too. he just hasn't admitted it to himself yet."
Just then Rebecca came into the house near tears. "So much for that," I said to Joe.

Oh no, will Rebecca and Nick EVER get together? Does Nick like her or Miley? What's gonna happen on the tour? Will Riley beat up Nick for this? lol. yeah, so comment and rate, i don't know how many comments I want. 10 would be nice but whatever. my bday is tomorrow (meaning Sunday since technically it's saturday lol) so i don't know if i'll be posting cause today (saturday) i have to do my hw and then sunday i may be celebrating, maybe not, we'll see. anyway, yeah, so i lost a subscriber so we need 2 more for 60. i have the preview for bluer skies 2 all ready and it's pretty intense so i'm just waiting on the subs...

lol i did the same thing during the summer, i was like up til 4 or later/earlier like every night. HAPPY *now* LATE BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol

haha yeah i ended up staying up till 6 in the morning. i had to pretend to be asleep when my dad came up to get my trash (cause saturday is trash day at our house lol). It was pretty funny. then i made myself get up today so i could go to sleep tonight so i didn't sleep through my birthday tomorrow lol. it's funny what a few days off of school can do to your sleep schedule.
