Ella estupenda pero la orquesta aunque fuese unos ensayos está pésima y el director el peor. Aun así es un vídeo interesante. El tenor podría haber cantado en la octaba correcta como lo hizo la señora Caballe y dejarse de tonterías....cobarde!!!!

Même en répétition, on se rend compte à quel point la voix était à la fois facile ample et flexible. Ce sont ses dernières Traviata, et aussi sans doute la fin de sa première splendeur. Dès 75 76 ce sera déjà autre chose. Marrant aussi d'entendre Carreras à peine marquer quand Caballé vocalise à toute allure. Mais qui est ce chef ? Le tempo est presque absurde de rapidité

Thank you for the additional information, Melbapatti. Chasson, Caballe's lasting power is impressive. Even now, at age 77, she is filling theaters. The voice is not the same as it was at 37, 47, 57,67, but it remains powerful. And she is out there more than any of her contemporary sopranos, or even those who followed. Fascinating.

@dsenRuskin Who knows? It is Anton Guadagno, whose ego was far out of proportion to his talent.

This is transposed down a half tone, so the soft high notes are C's not Db's. In the performance, Guadagno's conducting was so hectic, SHE STOPPED SINGING and just turned and walked upstage during the descending scales in "sempre libera" like she was having a fainting spell. There was a 40 minute intermission during which they worked out their problems, and she continued the performance. The tenor, by the way, is the 27 year old Jose Carreras!!
