Steroids aren't going to help much if you have shit technique or form on one of your lifts. Which is what a portion of this video focuses on.

A slight adjustment, even a minor adjustment like hand placement on the bar can be the difference between squatting 700 and squatting 800.

Steroids are normally the last thing that is added to these guys' regimen. When they've perfected their form and are unable to break through a plateau after everything else has failed.

well speaking as a raw lifter i'm not particularly interested in any lifts but i sure dont see half squats, belly benches or whimpy deadlift bars (thats just funny) when i'm watching westside train, just guys that are stronger than IPF guys ;)

  • @matklstrength Agreed! Steroids will make any man stronger. Half squats, belly benches, and whippy deadlift bars also make men look stronger than they really are too. That coupled with multliply gear is a recipe for highly inflated powerlifting numbers.

Make me wonder what they'd lift under IPF rules and not their own...

  • @PWRLFTR242

they'll always be stronger though :)

  • @matklstrength IPF only allows single-ply suits. The numbers in many cases are more impressive if you give it some real thought. These guys almost all lift multi-ply and sometimes with suit briefs along with the double and triple ply suits. This also has nothing to do with training properly. There is no holy grail of training templates. These guys are conjugate, some other successful guys use block periods. I personally use a modified westside template for full body each session.

  • @matklstrength LMFAO R U kidding me? What would happen if any of those guys lifted in the IPF? They wouldn't even qualify for worlds. They'd have to pass a WADAdrug test, qualify for nationals, win nationals, then get a shot to go. They'd have to learn to full squat, bench to their chests, and deadlift with stiff bars. Ever heard of Yarimbash? He was IPF,Jeff Lewis,IPF these guys were your champions at one time too. The list is longer than that. Your guys couldn't do IPF! Ur Comments = asinine.

  • @tylerfirst25 yes, however, all westside openly roids

  • @PWRLFTR242

and your precious IPF guys max total this year was a whopping 2496lbs, and david hoff's total in the same class is 2910, and greg panora hitting a 2630 @ 242, and Dave Hoff hitting another 2600 at 242, in fact, they have 5 totals which are at least 200lbs over the IPF top lift. think you better start training properly mate.

  • dont think so mate, the numbers speak for themselves. they compete in REAL meets, just because its not the "official" meet doesnt change the numbers mate. strongest gym in the world PERIOD
