  • ronjohnston7 here. We did a search on SD to HD and found your video. We tried you settings in final cut pro and what amazing results. You can see my garden video with these settings. I just wanted to thank you. I will be using these setting now with my you-tube uploads.

I was wondering have you made any improvements on these settings. Can you go up on the bit rates?

  • @ronjohnston7 you can of course choose any bit rate you want, I just chose those to keep the files small so it wouldn't take ages to upload

  • can you also do this to give your video the "film look?" 24fps? Do you know how to get this with the zr900? thanks. great vid!!

  • you can change it to 24fps but I don't think that will give it the "film look" unless you change it on the camera itself and I don't think the zr900 has 24fps. hope this helps

  • Yo what are u using for Screen Capture i would love that

  • in that video I am using iShowU but now I use screenflow

  • @live4mac I tried 8000 then 10000. The best is 10000 its super clear on 720 but my download speed is only 3mbs so it buffers once in a while. But for those with fast download speeds it would be great. I will work on it until I can see it without buffering at a 3mbs download. But this sure has improved the video quality.

    See some video at roadrunnervideo1

  • when im in final cut express and hit export quicktime movie, there is no choice for file format

  • at about 1:12-1:15 when he says if its already widescreen don't check the box that reads "preserve aspect ratio" If you're movie is not widescreen, select that "preserve aspect ratio" box. This will give your video the "movie look" other wise known as "Letterbox" or more commonly "widescreen" and widescreen is 16:9 ratio.

  • does anybody know how to add the 2 borders on top and botton of the picture that give you that "movie look" in final cut pro?

  • Why audio in mono? Compared to the size of the video signal, audio in stereo is very small. Experiencing music in stereo is what we all want, isn't it?

  • Wow thankz... found the programs easy but i really don't make tutorials on Mac i'm guessing u wouldn't know any programs for PC would ya?
