It is possibly to become sexual. I have friends that once considered themselves to be asexual and then changed.

I, on the other hand, have considered myself to be asexual for over 7 years now. Oh...I guess it's not a phase.

It's important to raise awareness not because asexuals need the attention but so that asexuals who haven't realised it yet know that it's a possibility, they're not on their own and that it's not something they can control or need to be concerned about.
