And although trex did had a powerful sense of smell it also had binocular vision more then 10 time greater then humans for much farther distances. It also had a very keen sense of hearing, more advance then most dinos in general. So likely, the sense of smell was a major advantage for trex in hunting just like how it is for many predators living today(its smell quality doesn't helps Jack's claims at all).

Jack just want to be noticed considering it's the only thing keeping him up float in life.

@GamingGenius Actually, what you should know about Jack is that he isn't even a real PROFESSIONAL. Jack as never been in any university as a student, never done any college work nor any ACTUAL work to be qualified as an actual professional. Jack's prior connections and standing out IS what made Jack famous. Jack is the one who started the whole "scavenger theories" on trex with NO actual evidence bast on assumptions and poor observations while ignoring all FACTUAL evidence simply for publicity

I think t-rex would of had small feathers, like on it's neck, not completely covered in feathers. If it was, then wow.

@artfantasies The theory of T-Rex's smell is a big part of his scavenger theory, but I think it really kicked off when he found his first T-Rex in 1990. This T-Rex was the first to have a complete arm. It was found by a woman named Kathy Wankel, and when she showed it to Horner, he was shocked at how short the lower arm bones were. This I think is what really kicked off his theory that T-Rex was a scavenger.

... you're right. When I see pics Spinosaurus does not seem to have this strong neck muscles and his neck is very long. That's not good in a fight. Spino had the mouth but not the whole structure of a crocodile so I think it would be risky to have a long neck between the mouth and the body which have to absorb the power of a prey. T-Rex seems to be a real killer.

But I like Spino also, he looks so weird.

Horner said it the other way. Horner argued T-Rex was an scavanger because he could smell carcass like a vulture over wide distance. But I think DG (Blasing) is right because the distance for a scavanger by foot is to far ;) and following the energy consumption to big.
