I actually miss those days. Sure, it's annoying, but hey... those "Please Stand By" cards were pretty cool to look at.

I had seen a "Technical Difficulties" slide recently on PBS affiliate WCVE before they began an episode of "EastEnders". Being the nerd I am, I took a picture of the slide.

It may have been annoying to people in the olden days of tv, but I kinda miss the days when old films would fall off the skids, as it were, and "Please Stand By" cards would appear, followed by an announcer explaining the obvious. Ah, the memories

me too!!! especially when the 'syncopated clock' was played in the background... to be afraid of 'technical difficulties'... we must've been weird kids or something ;)

I remember those technical difficulties when I was little. They scared the hell out of me something terrible. They do still occur, but not like back in the day.

we still get "TD's" with all the digital technology, but not like this. thanks for staying tuned to my channel. i did'nt waste any time getting back up.
just have to be more careful with what i post.

he was the one that told me. i checked in the am on tues and i was fine--6am. at 63am i got an email from him telling me i was down.
