In our report on new sailing boats at the Show we touched briefly on a great new sailing dinghy from LaserPerformance and in this report you can see the full interview with designer Jo Richards as he explains all the new features in this great little boat.

  • But, it does have a bigger sail area than the Laser 4.7. Also I think you will find that the wheelbarrow feature isnt pointless, it is just to roll it up the shore, rather than trying to carry it. What force did you sail in, if it was less than 3, then any boat is rubbish, but in a force 4-5 this boat is amazing. The only thing I would agree with is the fact that it is quite expensive, but on the other hand, the boat is very multi functional.

  • I recently sailed a bug today at Lake Arlington, Illinois. I would rate this sailboat a 1/5. More than enough flaws, wheelbarrow feature is pointless, and the wheel slows you down in the water. This boat is not worth the money, and it is the hardest thing in the world to keep balanced.
