1954 NEPTUNE "MIGHTY MITE" MADE BY MUNCIE GEAR WORKS. THIS OUTBOARD HAS 1.7 HP AND WEIGHS 17 LBS. I DON'T MUCH ABOUT THIS LITTLE MOTOR BUT WILL TRY TO EXPLAIN SOME OF THE FEATURES.
Really cool learning about the Mighty Mite. A nice, archaic piece. It may of been made in the Fifties but it has 1930s' look all over it with its brass & copper alloy pieces on it.
That's how you primed them, that's a tillotson carb, same as what's on my Viking, Mine has a rod that goes from the needle to the float rod that you pushed to prime the carb, when you twist the knob all the way left it primes the carb to start- same thing.
Nifty - love how small it is!
