@22fret The XC90 with its 2.5T is pretty fuel efficient and has good power for such a heavy vehicle.
-
Well the weak point in XC90 are the breaks.. not strong enough for this heavy car.

good glad we agree to differ, however there is one thing a Volvo XC90 can do, that normal cars can't do, and that is save your life. You need a Volvo XC90 to travel across deserts, or go off road to rescue people trapped in mines, or to carry vital rescue equipment to the back of beyond, or where no road car would ever be able to reach..... so in the words of the U.S. Marines,........ "I would rather have it, and not need it, .....than need it and not have it."

@Iceman2725 If you don't like classic cars, fine, it is just a matter of taste. I love old cars, and I drive a Volvo myself. Whoever wants to own an XC90 may feel free to do so, but I don't like those huge, tank-like SUVs. It is just not my cup of tea because they stand for a bunch of compromises. They are mediocre offroad AND lethargic onroad, not to mention consumption. In other words: superfluous. But tastes differ and that's perfectly OK...

only problem is why put up with the old vw ground clearence when you can have the Volvo XC90's or is it you just can't afford the Volvo XC90 in the first place, and HAVE TO USE THE OLD BEETLE HA HA.
-
WOW! I'm extremely impressed!
-
Mount some good snow tires and you could do the same thing with an old vw beetle...
