I got beat up really bad in SLC. For no apparent reason. Was it because I was black? Only about 458 total black people in Salt Lake. Most of them are at the bottom of the Great Salt Lake itself.

What a/b the Great Salt Lake?  Are people able to swim in the lake? I did yrs ago....1970....after you left the water, there were outdoor shower stalls to rinse the abundance of salt from your body! It was hard to stay underwater also b/c of the salt in the water....

@evolutionsolutionco I'll agree that Utah is beautiful (very limited time of the year), but SLC & co are so immensely flawed in so many ways that it is hardly better than other cities with the same population mass. It is a good place to raise a family, but if you are anywhere before or after raising children, UT is far sub par for living/entertainment.

I was hoping to see Cathedral of the Madeleine on the list. Haven't been there since elementary school and it is possibly the most beautiful building I have ever been in. The LDS temples are also pretty, but in a much more understated way.
