I had hope that this would work for me after running power to it and spending 5 hours getting it up and ready. Sadly I found out once it was up that it didn't only have constant static and a very fuzzy picture but it also took down my homes WIFI internet even though the WIFI router was on the opposite side of the house. After that I went over to the guy next door and asked if his WIFI was working. I was informed that his went down as well from this Camera .

I don't know how this is legal to sell because it isn't a Camera it's a WEAPON !

I hope this review helps some one avoid the same mistake I made adding this to my cart. If it has please give it thumbs up!

  • Have you tried changing channels on the camera and the receiver to see if the picture improves and/or less interference on the wifi? Also, which router do you have, and have you changed transmitting frequencies on the router to avoid interference with the camera?

  • @bwoo2828 I did try to change the chs on the receiver and it didn't help. I didn't see anything to change on the camera it's self. I own a APPLE wifi router . 802.11N it works on 2.4ghz and 5 ghz bands at the same time.

  • Does the motion detection capacity function well?

  • @daemonk9 Yes the motion detection part of this worked great. The wind was blowing and it didn't click on. Only when I walked near it did it click on . I paid $83 for it on amazon but it wasn't worth it for me being I lost the internet. I probably would have kept it otherwise .

  • google 'Electromagnetic interference at 2.4 GHz'.

It seems it is your wifi signal that's causing the camera to have rolls and static, but bcuz the video signal is constant (and stronger as the reciever and transmitter are closer), it mostly stays on but completely interferes with the wifi which sends info in packets

  • @daemonk9 Thank you for posting that explains allot and makes perfect sense.

  • I had been looking at this system..thanks for the review

  • You can change the channels that your Apple Airport router uses in the Airport Setup Utility.

  • @bluediamond2077 Next to the switch that adjusts the sensitivity of the motion sensor, there's a switch to change the broadcast frequency of the camera. You change the channel on the receiver to match the one being broadcast. Try changing the frequency on the camera, and see if that helps.

  • @bluediamond2077 There's a switch on the camera (where you also set the sensitivity of the motion sensor, the duration of the light being on, etc.) to change the broadcast frequency of the camera. You change the channel on the receiver to match the channel being broadcast.
