hihi , śnieżek pada :)

Yes the bass playing does transition smoothly from one bar to the next but the sax soloist doesn't do a good free form solo. It sounds rather pieced together and doesn't sound like a true improv but rather, it sounds computer generated. If you take 10 random smooth jazz songs and throw a real band created song in the mix, you can spot the RB track a mile away. Unnatural and fake.

Okay, but how do I input extra chords using midi?
-
How did you put multiple chords in one bar?

Thanks for posting this....It has help me to finally figure out how to use this software.Thank you again.

my band in the box sounds so toyish..do I need to get bb 2008.5?
-
@racine09 they can be transposed, but since they are real audio tracks, the further you transpose them the worse they will sound
-
@alaincharnier1971 yes
Hi HomeBuyers,
Every bar in BB has two "cells" for entering chords. If you enter a chord in each one, they'll be played on beats 1 and 3 of that bar. If you want the chords on EVERY beat, you can do that by separating the chords with commas.
For example:
bar 1, cell 1: Fmaj7,Gm7
bar 1, cell 2: Am7,D7
This would give you a single bar with those 4 chords on each beat. If you DON'T want any chord on beat 1, put JUST a comma:
bar 1, cell 1: ,Gm7
...would put the Gm7 on beat 2.

dunno... i did the things shown in the begiining of the video, pressed play and it does not sound like real instruments here...sounds more like crappy midi...why is that? :(

Hi prankstare,
Band-in-a-Box started out as all-MIDI, and the MIDI component is still present. So, it's very possible that you just haven't got the correct styles selected to get RealTracks and so you ARE actually heading crappy MIDI. Probably the best thing to do would be to contact the PG Music tech support. They're always easy to reach, either by email, online chat, or free 1-800 calls. They'd be able to help you out in a second.

Chdimis: I'm not sure about other software that enables you to change chords in real time.
Iutuby: RealTracks weren't introduced until Band-in-a-Box 2008, so no, they don't work with v2007. You would need either 2008, or the current version, 2009.

Hi saibhlob,
You can order it at the PG Music website. If you own an earlier version, you're eligible for upgrade prices. Even if you have an old ATARI version of the program, that still counts towards getting an upgrade :)
