  • Congrats on Top 16!

  • Good Luck on Saturday at the regionals!

  • What a joke. Low-budget feature-length films can be shot in as little as 10 days. Any competent production and post crew could make three 5-minute shorts in a week.

  • Not to digress, but I really liked Blue. It was a great film, you creatively created another planet. Sorry it didn't win anything. The added touch of the Teddy Bear was a nice touch.

  • If you have no proof of them cheating then your argument is pointless. If they say they were following the rules then all you can do is accept it. I applaud you guys for challenging yourselves to see what you could accomplish in a week and I see others are jealous. Hopefully we will get the chance of competing against you in the Regional Finale

  • Roll tide to that. This film does Alabama proud.

  • There is nothing in the CMF rulebook that says that multiple submissions must be distinct stories. Any argument to the contrary is a statement of opinion, not of an official position taken by CMF. If CMF chooses to explicitly change this for future competitions, I'm sure they will. But there's really no point in punishing a team for doing something no one had thought of before. As stated previously, if anything this decision HURT our chances, so I really don't see the reason for animosity.

  • For everyone saying that this is one large movie divided into multiple parts, I urge you to see them again. Each movie has a definite beginning, middle, and end. They are judged as distinct submissions for the purposes of the contest, which if anything, only hurts our chances to win, as certain parts of the overall story will be left out from each part. We really did not care about this, as we simply wanted to challenge ourselves, and see what we could do in a week.

  • I don't want to come across as a sore loser, but still it is beyond me how those got through. However, you def should not hate this idea, because it can only take the contest to new places. When we lose, all we can do is make more movies. Watch the oscars, here soon, and watch Avatar be awarded a prize it doesn't deserve and Sandra Bullock disgracing a region she doesnt understand. I hope Tarantino or Haneke don't throw Kanyesque fits when they lose.

  • So obviously we did not do something right. And we had nice lighting rigs and Zeiss super primes, and we lost. Whats ground breaking about this is that in the three years of competition this has never been done before. Either no one had the time to do it, or really no one had ever thought about it seriously. I am more upset at some of the choices for comedy and for drama other than this film to be honest. Why was Black at UA a finalist, judges? Or Date Night?
