Medi Share is a Christian Co-op Insurance you could check out. Google it, that's what I did. And to you "haters" and government bill supporters, why is it you don't think health care is something that you should pay at least a little for? I mean, jeez! This is your health and your body... isn't it worth paying something for? Also... what does this Ghandi quote have to do with health insurance?
@fakepatriot jesus would lay hands on you and just heal you. Scientific healthcare is secular, nothing to do with Christianity. But how many non Christians, lOL come to think of it, so-called Christians believe in Divine Healing? There is no balm in Gilead in these times, thus people turn to other options.
If that's what you want, ok.
I'll help you. But question is, will you help me help you? To help the healthcare takes Community effort. We cant' do it by ourselves.
@tonydaleaustintx do you know how we can get more info on them? I've been trying to look them up but only get blogs against them showing the down side. There are downsides to all things, so we must be realistic and rational about it. I'd like to set up a co-op assurance program but let people come to the hospital that are uninsurable working to sign up. I realize the complexity and must do alot of work on it. Also we need to start with beginning funds. I'm working on a fund raiser now.
This is no different from single payer government run healthcare!

The opposition to a public healthcare option by God fearing people reminds me of a quote from Ghandi;
"I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ."
A public option provides care for all of God's children in their time of need. The sick, the poor, the lame, the disabled... WWJD?

What a great report on these Christian sharing ministries. I know these groups, and they function really well
