whatever anyone thinks of this... remember Arch created/defined this vocal style and ruled it since 1984.. NOT many artists (in any genre) can wear thet win.

personally i am into different styles now but 1 word from Arch and i get instant goosebumps and are right back in the mid/late 80+ rocking out in new territory :-)

Awesome- Jim Matheos and Frank Aresti together again and with John Arch! This is classic Fates Warning right here. The albums with Aresti are my favorite Fates Warning albums. I love both John Arch and Ray Alder as vocalists. They should just call this band Fates Warning, that's what it is.

Ah, I don't know Gavin Harrison too well, but the little I've seen him is very very impressive. I watched his "19 Days" Live @ Modern Drummer and I probably replayed it 20 times in a row. I loved it so much! He looks like the chillest player ever. So comfortable with everything.

Yeah, he's indeed great. I checked out some of his older stuff, and you're right... his dexterity is incredible. I thought it was unusual the way he hit those cymbals behind him in some of those older clips - I don't think I've ever seen that before. He's certainly becoming one of my favorites; my all-time favorite drummer being Gavin Harrison.

The drummer, Bobby Jarzombek, is the ish. He is the most underrated drumming machine in history, in my opinion. Super humble guy, cares about the music til the very end, which is why there is no publicity about him... and he has the dual dexterity which many drummers dream of. This video doesn't show 1% what he can do, but if you find older videos like "School" (by his old band Spastic Ink) you can get a quick taste of his ridiculousness!
