@dubified89 guess i should clarify... the soviets were more rational than a theocratic regime that believes they are going to bring about the 2nd coming. obviously the soviets werent that rational considering how close we came to a nuclear holocaust.

*are a just sacrifice

@dubified89 Their culture at home is the clue into their way of thinking. I fthey believe that all those who do not submit to Islam and a just sacrifice in the face of Allah, then anything goes with them. They hate America when we intervene millitarily in Afganistan, but don't seem to reserve course when we kill christians to protect muslims (as in the case with Kosovo). Point is,they justify their actions irrespective of any external factor that might cause them offense.

Also all religion is insane. The god in the old testament is the most evil, genocidal creature imaginable. Every bit as crazy as 'Allah'. And the Talmud is evil too & against everyone who isn't a Jew.
-
@regelemihai Yeah no one's talking about their culture at home. The debate is about why they specifically hate America.
-
@oofinity The Soviets were rational? Really?

@girzwald3 You're a pussy. You think supporting war makes you tough, that's bullshit. Ron Paul has the guts to stand up against the status quo. You go with the establishment which is safer, making you the pussy.

@enevighet17 Read Pat Buchanan's latest column: Ron Paul: Reactionary or Visionary. This column explains why Paul's plan puts America in the best possible defensive position. Google the terms, it is easy to find.

Ron Paul should adopt a greater understanding of the clash of civilizations (the idealogical war) that is currently occurring in our globalized world. Americans shouldn't be that naive that they think they can win the wars through pure force, but to completely withdraw, become indifferent and passive toward islamist like Ron Paul is proposing is plain dangerous.
Ron Paul isn't blaming us (as in you and me) for 9/11, he is pointing to the US Government's role in creating enemies all over the world. Do not confuse the country with its government. "Us" is a very misleading, blanket kind of word.
