  • This is a beautiful song , but you wouldn't have guessed from Joni's version,

Hayley took a rough diamond and polished it and now it is a beautiful and desirable object.

  • I agree! Its a very moving song! Before I started recording, Hayley said that she didn't really consider herself piano player - I beg to differ! She plays the piano brilliantly! The music flows with great ease...

  • The reason this version is so wonderful is because Miss Westenra is so sincere in singing. The songs she chooses are probably unmatched in their ability to touch us for what she likes about each of her songs is clearly expressed

and is something all people are attracted to the same. One tiny

example is the last word in the song is "on". Just the fact that

we hear that and are allowed to think of the meaning of that

one word is a clue and shows she wants to hear the

    listener's heart.

  • We love you Hayley!!!! :)

  • I had heard Hayley sing this song with playing piano by herself in her concert in Kaohsiung Area 2010. It was fabulous. I like it very much. The sam scene I saw again, touched me a lot.

  • talented!

  • she play's paino never new

  • Very nice, except very rushed in some parts. It's not like that on the album, thankfully.

  • i saw her at bristol she is amazing its good to see an act thats not spoon fed by simon cowell

  • Very nice job Hayley!

    : )

  • I completely disagree with that....while Hayley's version is gorgeous (I really love the reworking of the intro...makes it less of a seasonal ballad), Joni's is just as, if not more, beautiful. Personally, I think that Joni puts a lot more of herself and more emotion into the song, which of course is expected as she wrote it.

  • Thanks for posting this. Heard Hayley sing this song at Tewkesbury 2 weeks ago, brilliant! I didn't know she was a pianist, too.
