Music producers have an opportunity in soukous, says Congolese bassist Ngouma Lokito. Listen as Ngouma Lokito explains the situation faced by even the top champions of soukous music: Not enough fine promoters and producers of African music. Ngouma encourages successful American music producers to take a look at and a listen to African music and give them a try. Africans have the music!" says Ngouma.

Also in this clip: Incredible soukous by Aurlus Mabele with solo guitarist Néné Tchakou and Ngouma himself on bass, playing the spectacular "Soto"

  • Does anyone know the name of the album with the song that plays at 3.00 minutes?

  • @ssabbassajja That's "Soto" on Volume 2 of "The Best of Aurlus Mabele" - also can be downloaded as an .mp3 from various websites. "Soto" is the name of a dance or dance move. The solo guitarist is Néné Tchakou (who lives in California now, but comes from the DRC) and the bass player is, of course, Ngouma Lokito. :)
