Viewer comments on the world famous "C14 is a Small Scope" led to this presentation of a way to upload a C14 on to a German equatorial mount without back strain. Even girly men will be able to use this technique! My thanks to members of astromart and cloudynights forums, as well as Yahoo! C14_EdgeHD . This video conclusively demonstrates that the C14, combined with such small portable mounts as the Losmandy G11 and Titan, the Astro-Physics 900 and 1200, is a small portable scope which even girly men worried about their backs can use! It's a small, portable scope! Thanks to Margaret for the camera work.

  • Hi,

Can you post a video showing how to dis-assemble and assemble a C14? I have been looking for a comprehensive video that deals with it and have not found any. I wish you had one video devoted solely for this.

  • @resist4resist

I'm not sure how this would work since it takes ten minutes to upload for every one minute of film. If you go to this link tinyurl*com/2g7vejy (convert the * to a period, youtube doesn't allow exterior links) you will see a complete pictorial disassembly of a c8 which is identical to the disassembly process of a C14.

  • Messieurs d'astrosurf-dot-com, je vous souhaite la bienvenue. J'ajoute que vous avez bien tarde a trouver le chemin ici!

  • Actually, note to viewers: with the G11 you similarly turn the saddle plate to the side, vertically. You then can insert the dovetail plate (thread it in) through the saddle. GN
