COMIC BOOKS #14: Superman, Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash, Skrull

part 1

Graphic Novels:

The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen: Alan Moore (I can't get enough of his stuff) wrote this incredible book about characters in literary history being brought together. Most have no superhuman special abilities (some do) but they come together to save the world.

There are 2 books and another on the way and it is one of the most intelligent enlightening series ever written. Whenever someone says comic books don't have any literary credibility I pull out this book and force them to read every last page.

There is a companion book for the first novel that helps explain all that you see it's called
Heroes & Monsters which if you miss a lot of the characters or art or historical references than this is the book you read.

Kree-Skrull War is the next book and I think this is going to be important in the next little while for the set up to the new and terrible story arc coming to the marvel universe. I'll talk abit about that a little later but for now let's focus on this.

This is a great series if you can get past the older art and kind of child-like writing. It's a corner stone book for the Marvel Univerise and if you want to have a good understanding of that place this needs to be placed on your shelf.
