  • by "clurly feather" do u mean a feather that sticks up al little?

  • It will actually curl right around and point toward its head or even back down toward its body. They're usually quite obvious. Do a Google image search for "drake feather" and you'll see what I mean.

If it is fertile then it would keep for several days without being incubated. Ducks lay several eggs before sitting on them so they're designed to survive while waiting for the eggs to pile up. The longer they sit, though, the less likely they are to hatch. Watch your temp and keep it warm now.

  • I NEED HELP: okay they were 2 ducks

i thought they were both girls till.........

i have found a egg in my garden just one we thought the ducks might come back back they didn't. 3-4 days later i have the egg in a little nest and i have a light shining over it! what do i do next????? HELP!!!! PLEASE

  • @scooter1050 Put a thermometer next to the egg. You need to keep the egg at 99.5º F. They'll hatch even if the temperature varies a little bit but try to stay close to 99.5. You can change it by raising or lowering the light.

You still may have had two females. Ducks lay eggs even if there is no male around, but the eggs aren't fertile without a male. Did either duck have a curly feather on its tail? Did both of them quack quite loudly?

  • did u buy them or given to you or the mom duck?

  • The original ducks I bought from the local Agway. The eggs in these videos were laid by those ducks.
