  • They are a huge improvement over carrying someone 30km on your back for a day or two and now at 15km/h its a 2 hour trip. Progress is progress.

  • Great. Ont he gift page of the charity Oxfam, there is a tiny piece of information on how bicycles for health care workers are a great improvement. And the bicycle stretcher is mentioned.

    Quote:

Amazingly, when her patients fell sick, Violet would often carry them the 30km to the nearest hospital on her back.

Do a web search for "And with the addition of a specially designed bike-stretcher, she can get patients to hospital quickly. " to see this in context

  • @Caprivian would you rather carry them from point A to B?

  • Better than nothing!

  • The Namibia government must come to the rescue of its people by providing better transportation services to the sick.

Bicycle Ambulance is NOT an option in serving lives.

For how long will someone ride a sick person in those "ambulances"to the nearest hospital - knowing how distant such hospitals will be from point A to B .

STOP THE JOKE - THOSE ARE NOT AMBULANCES...STOP!
