  • It's hard to believe when you look at him that he was 69 years old. Didn't even have to dye his hair.

  • I think this has to be on the top three of the best speeches he has given, next to his remarks on the Challenger explosion and his first inaugural address. And who can forget about his other famous speech: "Mr. Gorbuchav, tear down this wall!!"

  • @SkullOfYorick the only true conservatives running for president are: Newt Gingrich, Herman Cain, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Perry & Rick Santorum

  • @SkullOfYorick Please don't leave out Newt Gingrich either.

    Ron Paul or Newt Gingrich

  • @vccstudents Sorry, but, if you want truly limited government, America's last hope is Ron Paul in 2012 (the only candidate personally commended by Reagan himself). The other candidates are all big-government, police-state globalists, just like the Bushes and Obama.

  • Joe Louis Arena must've been a magical place that night! Everything Mr. Reagan said about taxes & the economy in 1980 is happening all over again, except @ breakneck speed. As a true Conservative patriotic American, Mr. Reagan did warn us about the dangers of socialism. We cannot afford four more years of it under Obama, that's for sure! I wish Reagan had been nominated on the 1976 GOP ticket. The American people made the right choice in '80 & '84! Bless You, Mr. Reagan! R.I.P., Sir!

  • I am primarily Democratic, but I have to admit the guy was magnamic. He had IT.

  • CPMS, don't forget Rendezvous With Destiny. Hell, all of Reagan's speeches were great, and he didn't need a teleprompter!

  • The best part of this speech was when he commented on Carter's record and asked if anyone said, "let's have four more years of this." Then he said the voters the first week in November would say, "No, we've had enough!" I was 17, and I wish I could have been six months older to vote in this election! Ronnie was the best in my lifetime! As for NOBAMA, he has 1,274 DAYS TO GO! ROMNEY/JINDAL '12!
