Chinese New Year Celebration 2011 @ Chinatown

2011 is the year of the Rabbit in the Chinese Zodiac calender, and good news is that I'm a Rabbit...err...I meant was born in the year of the Rabbit. I've passed the third cycle and so, which means, I'm an old man. ^_^

We had 12 Chinese Zodiac charactors, each one of them representing one for every single year. And after the twelveth year it is considered a full cycle. (I'd guess so and never really paid much attention to it.)

My family and I went to Chinatown, just 2 days before the actual holiday starts, to get to feel the Chinese New Year atmosphere, to see the decorations and lightings. It was crowded and I dislike crowded places, as people are shoving one another, smelling others' body odour and getting 'touched'. I may have a bit of demophobia or may not, and usually avoid these places at all cost.
And in one occurance, my son literally planted his palm onto a Caucasian dude's buttocks. The Caucasian dude didn't turn back to look as he must've felt that it was a kid's palm touching him. Nevertheless, I'd apologised to him and too, didn't turn back to accept it. Cool.

Anyways, as a promised made to my family for this trip down to Chinatown. Went to see the usual stuff...nothing special except getting to feel the atmosphere. That's our usual yearly event and I just did it for the sake of my family. We never got anything as we had made our purchases earlier in our neighbourhood stores.

So therefore, here I'm presenting this video to show how it was like celebrating CNY in Chinatown.
