my first time ringing at Hereford Cathedral, and at the end I was invited to go up into the bell chamber where I took this recording. The bells were difficult to ring, but easy after practice. The wheel is large so it needed long pulls. The tenor needed two people to raise :L I rang the third to rounds and call changes, and Grandsire Triples on 7. It was a good ring and I will definately go there again :)

  • 6,8 & 10 are the clock bells. The bells are usually only rung for service ringing and its quite likely that if they were rung up and down every week not only would it cut down on our ringing time but its possible that some of the others may go up wrong. Was this video taken at the ringing course? If so I was lowering the 8th.
