How to install XBMC on Apple TV 2G

I just got my Apple TV2 and this video just confused me. It doesn't explain if by installing this XBMC if that jailbreaks the device. Also it doesn't explain how to stream movie, videos and music on your PC to your TV. Can someone please explain and go into a little more depth. Thx

yea, xbmc will allow you to stream all file formats

Is there a way to get it to boot straight into xbmc without you having to select it from the apple menu

@TheErmhmm not that im currently aware of, You could just leave your atv on XBMC if your on 4.2.1 or below and have an untethered jailbreak since the aTV itself never truly turns off by itself. It will just recover out of sleep mode right into where you were last in XBMC. I'll look into it for more details but at this point I do not believe it has been done yet.

apt-get update

apt-get install org.xbmc.repo

apt-get update

apt-get install org.xbmc.xbmc-atv2

You refer to the SSH program Putty, but when you start Putty it doesn't just open up a Terminal, but asks you to log in to something... why don't you state in the tutorial how to start the Terminal, it's uselss otherwise...

sorry but video explanation here is very very poor. You can't just pile into terminal and assumer everybody can use it. And as well as that, terminal for mac doesn't operate the same as putty for windows. If people are looking for a tutorial, you have to tutor the viewers. Instead you just assume! and do a bad job assuming too.
