@funnorthwestboy airlines are designated to a side to approach and land... all of the aircraft land in the same direction based on wind direction. If the wind is blowing North, all the aircraft come in from the south. Its a pilot thing.

@4everTHEfreshistKIDZ Aha, that explains it. First time I flew in, and thought we were getting close to landing, I was looking out the window. From above I saw what looked like a Concourd. I was thinking "Is that a Concourd". What's it doing there, I thought they were out of service after one crashed. Thanks for your post and info. Somebody marked this as spam. I "unflagged" it.

I live in Seattle, and I'm pretty sure BA flies in from the north end.
