  • Well...that's true. Pop and rock singers usually have awful technique. Why do you think that none of them sound good live? They don't have the technique to prevent damage. They just sing however they want.

  • "Anything that's not classical or opera"? So rock, pop, hip-hop, rap, AND metal are all usually untrained voices? C'mon! Man.

  • I bought a singing cd and it didnt explain it as well as this,Thanx =)

  • If you wanna sing pop practice pop, not opera.

  • I had the same issue.Remember, you don't NEED a performance degree to get out and perform. You might also look into a school that is more contemporary like Berklee.

  • i do that excersise on the piano useing nei (yes like a horse neighs lol*

  • Thanks, a great help to singing, clear and healthy insights, sound reasoning. Many struggling vocalists will benefit. Helps me a lot. Question: which excercise can I use to keep the chin muscle relaxed?

  • i really really really want to learn how to mix properly. my collegiate voice teacher won't teach me because she "isn't allowed" ..but it makes it a very hard transition from the opera solo stuff to the pop music i write and perform :(
