  • Hows that tig coming? I now have the same setup, but made the mistake of buying a pure Tungsten electrode. I have some 2% Thoriated on order. I'd really like the try some 1/8" Lantinated. The whole thing just makes me want a real tig machine. I'll have a Miller Diversion 180 before Nov before their $150 rebate expires. Thanks for the vid!!

  • @Trex1268

Its... done lol. Im really liking it, and i used it welding vertical up last night for the first time. Im happy with it!! Those Millers are nice. Have you thought about saving a couple hundred dollars more and getting a syncrowave 200? Theyre nice machines and you have a lot more controls and features than the diversions...

  • I saw in one of your videos that you said you lived in Ohio, is that true? If so what part?

  • @22zmynumber

  • @ChuckE2009 Ahh, im in the northern part then

  • @22zmynumber

  • Have you ever touched that Electrode to the filler rod on accident? Lol I wanna learn Tig, but I hear that doesn't feel too good when you do that.

  • Chucke - I just saw this video on weldingweb and thought someone stole it. Nice work on everything dude. I always enjoy the videos. If you ever come to TN let me know. I could always use another welder, if you wanna do some structural welding

  • i know a guy made a grill/smoker out of a 55 gallon drum and used a 5" chrome stack for the exhaust vent. Its not as big as yours but it works great. good luck with the rest of this project!

  • you gotta put 2 chrome stacks out the top!

  • Good Job Chuck!

  • great job buddy lookin good!! From what I hear with TIG it mostly practice practice practice

  • @ChuckE2009 Isn't the Syncrowave made by Miller? If so, the one's I saw online were quite a bit more than the Diversions. I started looking into some "Chinese models, (Everlast)", but quickly came to my senses. I'm a buy American guy as much as I can be. So even though I'll be paying more for the Miller I really don't mind. American products are always better IMO. I fried to find a HF start box for the stick / TIG setup, but so far no luck. Ever see one? Thanks

  • great video ;D
