@FarmallDoctor Ya MF and Deere were a mess to do repairs on.

nice, my grandpa had a 915 as his last combine. through the years he had a 303, a 403, and a 503, and finally a 915, and on his last round of the last field of soybeans in his retirement year in 1997, the combine caught on fire and burned the engine compartment up. he joked that there were many times through the years he wanted to throw a match in it and it least it waited until he was done.

I have a 615 and 2 715,s.the 615 was my dads first combine. than came the 715 diesel.and then a few years ago my dad and I went to a local auction in town and found the 715 gas.the combine its self was mint with very low hours.we got both headers and the combine for $300.if I could find a nice 815 or 915 I would like to buy it.

had a 815 when it was new and it was a piece of junk and always broke, i was glad the day i got rid of that thing

I ran a 715 for years and dreamed of a 915. The 20 ft head is not the biggest head you could run if i am not mistaken. I ran a 17.5 with the 715. Below in the comments i see someone had an 815 however the mechanics at Internation told me that with the incorrect head the straw walkers would become packed and go out the rear end. Thanks again for all of your videos

I grew up with a 403. Papa always wanted a 715 but we never had the money. I'm hoping someday to help him buy a 1400 series Axial Flow someday to put a big smile on his face.
Working in a CaseIH dealer for four years in the late 90's I don't remember seeing one 815 or 915 running in the area. All Axial Flows. I always was told that the cleaning system couldn't keep up with the rest of the machine on these and they were hard to work on.

@SilverGleaner The cleaning fan is the only drawback... could use a little more air in tough conditions. They aren't as easy to work on as a rotary, but MUCH easier than a comparabe green or MF combine.

what size of header you have on that thing?

It's a 20 foot model 820. It works great with the old cable over hydraulic floating cutterbar and SCH knife. Thanks!
