Project complexity is growing.

Today we frequently see a new breed of major programs, giga programs if you will. These programs are not just a further scaling up of the mega programs of the past but rather are much, much more.

This growing complexity in capital program delivery is increasing the interest in effective, comprehensive program management as a delivery strategy. This delivery strategy has been previously deployed in both the private and public sector in a wide range of industries with varying results but todays giga programs require a fresh look and new models to achieve success.

These new models, called Strategic Program Management or PMC+, are about changing traditional relationships, reconfiguring the supply chain and recognizing that these giga programs will deliver more engineering and construction and procure more equipment and materials than most engineering and construction corporations will over their lifetime.
