Hye Jung Lee performs "I am the Wife of Mao Zedong" from Nixon in China by John Adams. Lawrence Foster conducting the Orchestra of Welsh National Opera.

Ms. Lee will play Madame Mao in "Nixon in China" for San Francisco Opera in 2012.

    Hye Jung Lee is so expressive! That might have been a little exaggerated at the two very high pitched "books", though.

  • @Wordman67 yes! I don't think a conductor should do that on a public recorded audition. the orchestra tempos could be considered, and not so comprised.
