Swedish Chef from "The Muppets" is showing viewers around the world how to make what he thinks will be a good hot sauce. Unfortunately, as usual, too much of something good can be bad.

The Swedish Chef is owned by Jim Henson.

  • Statler and Waldorf reaction:

Statler: I don't understand him why can't he go back to what he was before he was a chef

    Waldorf: What was that?

    Statler: Nothing

    Both: DOHOHOHOHOHO

  • @zackman86 very original, but that reaction had already been used in one of the shows ;) Thumbs down

  • @Altair8801 You are contradicting yourself. So... people who don't understand Swedish CAN or CANNOT fully appreciate the comedy of this? Make up your mind. I think they can seeing how popular the Swedish chef is. I am Dutch, I don't understand Swedish but to me it indeed sounds a lot like Swedish.

  • I love how he is the only muppet that requires real human hands to perform his skits.

  • @straygypsy Not at all. We are proud of him ;-)

A real Swede just laugh at him... The Swedish chef rocks!

  • Although, I must say, this does sound a whole lot like Danish too! You may say it's Scandinavian!... what ever! But they probably decided to go with "Swedish" Chef because Swedes are simply great chefs, and Sweden has a great cooking tradition. =) Hehe, but he's a really fun character this little guy. It's always fun watching him do his "magic". Svenske kocken rockar fett! =)

  • My fortune is that I understand both Swedish and English, even thou neither one of them is my native language. So I can really appreciate the comedy of it, since I know from first hand and personal experience what it sounds like at first when you don't understand the language.
