Motocross is a brutal sport and she doesn't play favorites. Few people know this better than Monster Energy Kawasaki's Dean Ferris. After battling through the ranks as a privateer, then scoring a ride with Team Green for 2011, Ferris rewarded the team with consistent podiums and led the Rockstar Energy Australian Motocross Championship for the majority of the season. But then disaster struck when he was stretchered off the track at both of the final two rounds, surrendering his grip on the Pro Open trophy and tumbling down the leaderboard.

With the 2011 outdoor season in the history books, Ferris has done some soul-searching in Europe and has come back hungrier than ever for a title in the impending Australian Super X Championship.
