Legality Of Doorless Jeeps

So my brother's friend has a jeep. He found out you can take the door off of it. Then we asked the question: "Is it legal to drive around after taking the door off?" I figured it was since you see it all the time but he wasn't sure after find out the new feature to his vehicle. So we decided to take a trip around town to ask from friendly town folk. This is their response.

Note: I thought since I could hear them the camera would pick them up but you can't always hear them. So I tried to subtitle the best that I could. If you guys have any thoughts on driving a jeep with no doors leave a comment whether its a video or just a normal text comment.

Doors and tops used to be an extra option I think up until the 80s.

as long as you get mirror relocation brackets so you have your side mirrors on, its perfectly legal. You can also drive with the windshield down if you have goggles on.

my scrambler never had doors on it for the 2 years I owned it, now I want a jeep again

Here's a better question. Why do cars need ANY safety feature (ABS, air bags, seat belts, crumple zones, door bars etc) when motorcycles are allowed on the road and yet they have NONE of these features?

In Texas as long as you have a drivers side mirror it's fine. There is no better experience that driving topless and door-less in a Jeep.
