VIDEO CAPTURES EXPLOSION AT CHURCH

(Palm Bay)—Detectives investigating the apparent arson at the Church of Living Water have new evidence that shows a significant explosion captured on video. A neighboring business located just south of the church at 3950 Dixie Highway provided the Police Department with a video from its security cameras. While much of the video is unidentifiable, it provides helpful clues for investigators. Detectives are asking anyone that may have been in the area of U.S. Highway 1 and Orange Blossom Trail between the 2:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. Tuesday morning to come forward with information. "They may have seen a vehicle or persons walking in the area that may have seemed insignificant at the time, but it could be helpful to us," said Detective Ernie Diebel. "This is a serious crime and we will do whatever we can to find the person responsible." The video shows the explosion occurred at exactly 2:58:33 a.m. Seconds before, a vehicle was seen turning off of U.S. Highway 1. Detectives are hoping to talk to the person in that vehicle as a potential witness along with anyone else that may have been in the area.
