"What About Now" is the seventh single from American rock band Daughtry's eponymous debut album. The song is a ballad, that was written by Ben Moody, David Hodges (both former members of Evanescence), and Josh Hartzler, who is married to Amy Lee (the lead singer of Evanescence) It is one of only two songs on the album not at least co-written by Chris Daughtry. The song was announced as the band's next single on their website.[1] It was officially released in the U.S. on July 1, 2008.[2]

@JosephAdamDaniels maybe you're right, both are good band. frankly, i never heard of this band in my city but westlife is so popular in many countries. Westlife is a irish boy band so they could hardly break into US market. But westlife owns 14#1's songs, isn't it amazing? i searched some vids of Daughty and they sing pretty well, and could you please waste some time to listen to their songs too? hope you can listen to them. I prefer "My Love", "Beautiful", "Swear it again" &other no.1 songs :)

@HenryHins Daughtry is incredibly more popular than Westlife; especially in the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Germany, etc. The band has sold upwards of 17.5 million albums and 30.2 million singles. The band have had three consecutive #1's and has the fastest selling debut rock album in soundscan history. Each album has been certified Gold or Platinum or quadruple Platinum, Westlife covered Daughtry because Daughtry are amazing.

@HenryHins No dude, Daughtry performed this song first, Westlife covered it for their "Where We Are" album. Both versions sound equally good, and Im not like some people who dare say that 'Westlife ruined this song or that song'.
